Building Material
PROJECT 1 : CLASSIFICATION OF BUILDING MATERIALS
The task of this project is to select an architect and their building that utilizes several types of building materialS.
We are required to analyze the materials that are used by the Architect for the building that is chosen and produce a presentation board that explains the characters of the building materials and how these materials relate with the surrounding context. The building must use any 3 types of building material.
In a group of 8, we are required to produce an presentation A2 board consisting the architect’s background, concept of building and explanation about the building materials.
PROJECT 2 : MATERIALITY IN SPACE
This projects divided into 2 parts, which is the individual task as well as the group task.

For group assignment, we are required to select a building, which allows us to experience and explore most of the building materials covered in the module. We are required to discover 15 types of materials and identify/classify the 15 types of building materials in 2 A2 size boards. Also, we are required to design a mood board, which should include color, pattern, photographs, sketches and informative design elements to reflect the materials used and ambience of the space of your choice.

For individual task, we are required to study and do research on the design Intention of the buidling as well as the buidling material in our own specific space.
